The Burnham-Moores Report known as the USD Index of Leading Economic Indicators for San Diego County is produced by Alan Gin, Associate Professor of Economics at the University of San Diego. This highly respected index measures and reflects the direction of the San Diego economy. It's released every month by the Burnham-Moores Center For Real Estate at The University of San Diego.
The USD Index of Leading Economic Indicators includes many trends such as building permits, unemployment insurance, stock prices and consumer confidence. This brief and easy to read report includes a historical line graph that puts a value of the combination of these indicators for a four year period. The graph indicates a significant decline from June 2007 and a recovery that began in September of 2009.
